Winter is over, and it’s time to come out of hibernation. Spring is making its presence known through a variety of signs popping up all over the place. Crocuses and snowdrops, returning song birds, the greening up of the lawn, and the shoots of perennial flowers and herbs. Turns out there are personal, professional, and community building opportunities popping up all around me as well. Spring is a time for planting seeds whether they are for plants or for future plans. How can we all take the time to notice all the things that are popping up around us?
We are all builders at heart. Each day we plan, draft, draw up the blueprints of our life. We learn skills, build relationships, create, assemble, and collaborate. Sometimes our efforts fail and we have to go back to the drawing board, and may feel like giving up. Today’s read is about how to stick with it, even when the going gets tough.
Struggling through a project might make you want to give up. Here is my perspective on the lessons I’ve been learning with the creation of this piece of artwork, lessons that apply to all of us regardless of what the problem facing you is. When you feel that you should just throw the baby out with the bathwater, stop, step back, and reassess. You might just be able to salvage the best parts and fix the rest. Whatever you do, don’t give up!
